After a lifetime of interest in photography and videography, I have started to experiment.
It took the arrival of my first baby daughter to convince me that a camera was a must-have item, at all times. Fair warning- this also means my daughter stars in a lot of my photos and video!
Constantly taking pictures and recording video has ignited a spark, and my love of photography has taken hold. I want to branch out, explore, and create.
I intend to chronicle my processes, good and bad, as I explore the strange and varied world of photography. I don't claim to be an expert on anything- just the opposite, in fact. My hope is that by blindly fumbling around, I can document and provide direction for others who are interested, and maybe make the next journey a slightly less blind one.
Armed with a few simple tools, Google, fairly limited free time, and a great deal of patience, I will make my way as best I can.
I probably won't break much new ground here, but when I find a hole in my Google searching, or something that just isn't documented well- I'll try to bridge that gap. If someone else has already done it better, I'll probably just link to them. That's the great thing about the Internet!
So, please, take my trials and tribulations with a grain of salt- remembering that I'm just getting started at this. I hope you find something worthwhile here- at least entertaining, at best educational.
